Ajánlás
Ezt a lemezt édesapámnak, Égerházi Imre (1925-2001) festôművésznek ajánlja zenekarunk, aki egy nagyszerű ember és kiváló festôművész volt. Festészetével olyan képi világot hozott létre, amely csakis rá volt jellemzô. A Djabét nagyon szerette és koncertjeinket gyakran látogatta. Rendszeresen festett zenénket hallgatva, talán inspiráltuk is néha. Most azonban Ô inspirált bennünket.
Ezen az albumon minden számot valamelyik képe ihlette, általuk nyert vizuális élményeink a komponálás folyamatát nagyban befolyásolták. Ez a lemez édesapám képeitôl nyerte el igazi karakterét, melyek mélyen táplálkoznak az Alföld, Hortobágy, Erdély életképeibôl és zenevilágából. Az eredmény egyedi lett és sajátosan magyar, hiszen Égerházi Imre nemcsak magyar, hanem kozmopolita is volt, akárcsak a Djabe. Virágcsendéletei a szép és a természet szeretetét tükrözik.
A halálközeli élményeirôl festett képei különleges inspirációt adtak a Repülés és a Jégvilág című kompozíciókhoz. Közös alkotás született a festôművésszel, és bár nem életmű jelleggel válogattuk képeit, mégis úgy érzem, hogy az összeállítás méltóképpen mutatja be Égerházi Imre művészetét. Sajnos már nem foghatja kezébe ezt az albumot, de bízunk benne, hogy zenénk eljut hozzá és örömét leli benne.

Dedication
Our band dedicates this record to my father, Égerházi Imre (1925-2001), painting artist who was a great man and an excellent painter. He created a picture world, which was characteristic only to him. He was fond of Djabe and repeatedly attended our concerts to gain a fuller understanding of the many concepts and elements involved. He regularly painted while listening to our music, maybe we managed to inspire him now and then. This time, however, he inspired us.
On this record every single track was inspired by one of his pictures, our visual experience influenced greatly the process of our composing. This record received its real character from my father1s pictures, which were feeding deeply from the life pictures and music world of Alföld, Hortobágy and Transylvania. The result is unique and very Hungarian as Égerházi Imre, and not only Hungarian but also cosmopolitan, just like Djabe. His flower still lives as a reflection of the love of beauty and nature.
His pictures of the experience of death. Os closeness gave special inspiration to the Flying and Ice world compositions. A mutual formation came to life, fusing the entire album to the pictures themselves, and although we did not chose his pictures to be a life art I feel that the selection is suitably representing the art of Égerházi Imre. Unfortunately he cannot hold this record in his hand but we hope that our music gets to him and he will enjoy it.
